I'm behind in several of my TV fandoms right now, and I honestly just don't have the urge to get caught up on some of them because the last few episodes that I watched just... weren't that good. It's really kind of depressing. :-/

Oh, finally!

The first series of Life on Mars (the UK version) is going to be released in Region 1 this summer. I might even sell my Region 2 DVDs and buy the new ones, like I did with The Invisible Man.

And apparently the US version of the series has been canceled? I didn't watch it on principle, so I don't know how good/bad/etc. it was, but I ( Read more... )

Well, I had my laptop with me at Vividcon. I was just too busy using it for other purposes to actually take the time to type up a LiveJournal post while I was there.

The trailer for the pilot of the American version of Life on Mars is apparently now online. In other news, there's possibly going to be a complete retooling of it - including a new cast except for the actor playing not!Sam. Of course, if Colm Meaney's gone then at least I no longer feel any obligation to even bother watching a single episode of it. ( Read more... )

I'm frantically trying to finish up a few ficathon stories and get caught up on Life on Mars and Battlestar Galactica before Vividcon (just in case)1, but I'll have a whole week once I get back before I have to move back into the dorms. I know that I haven't really mentioned this show a whole lot in my journal, but I watched - and adored - Series One last year even though I didn't bother with typing up my usual episode reactions. You know, this actually works pretty well. I watch Battlestar Galactica until I get to the point where I just have to take a break, pop in some old school Doctor Who, watch it until I just have to take a break, and then switch back to Battlestar Galactica.

Add in breaks to watch Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis ( tiny little squee-related spoiler from the preview )

Well, I've officially got a new fandom. *pause* Um. New fandoms, actually.

I managed to download the first six episodes of The Professionals via BT before I left for school, and I just finished watching them. I've ordered the DVDs from the UK, so I expect to pretty much throw myself into the fandom sometime in the next week or so.
